Free FULL Homeschool Curriculum: An Old Fashioned Education!

What Is An Old Fashioned Education?

An Old Fashioned Education is a free homeschooling curriculum that takes inspiration from the tried-and-true methods of yesteryear. Think of it as a blend of the best educational practices from the past, brought to life with a touch of modern convenience. It’s built around classic literature, traditional learning methods, and a no-nonsense approach that many of us grew up with—back when school was about solid reading, writing, and arithmetic.

The curriculum offers a structured yet flexible plan for K-12 education, covering all the essential subjects. Whether you’re looking to follow a classical education model, or you simply appreciate the value of a straightforward, traditional education, this curriculum has something to offer. Read More

Free Homeschool Preschool, Pre-k, & Elementary Curriculum: Brightly Beaming Resources!

What is Brightly Beaming Resources?

Brightly Beaming Resources is a full and totally free curriculum for preschool age up to age 11. Brightly Beaming Resources is home to a very popular preschool curriculum called Letter of the Week. Letter of the week works exactly how it sounds… you learn one letter per week with your preschooler and Brightly Beaming Resources gives you the lessons, activities, and book lists.

For the older kids there is also Science of the Week, Spellbright Spelling Lists, Country of the Week, Journal Prompts and more.  You’ll also find a really great program for 9-11 year olds called Blazers of Greatness that takes them through studying popular heroes and heroines like Albert Einstien, George Washington and others.

Why I Love It

First off, it’s so easy to use. Everything is laid out week by week, so you can just jump in whenever you’re ready. Whether you have a busy week or a little extra time, you can adapt it to fit your schedule. Because it is a free resource, most of the materials are things you already have or can print from the website.

The activities are perfect for young kids—lots of play and hands-on learning. My kids have been picking up letters and numbers without even realizing they’re learning. Plus, the flexibility is amazing. You can go at your own pace, no pressure.

Under the Home – FREE FULL Elementary Homeschool Curriculum!

What is Under the Home?

Under the Home is an all-in-one, free online curriculum that’s perfect for homeschoolers who love a classical education approach and is based on the Charlotte-Mason method of learning. It’s got all of the core subjects you will want to cover from literature and history to science and math, all wrapped up in a beautiful, easy-to-navigate site. What I love most about it is how it combines rich, classical content with a flexible format that lets you tailor lessons to your family’s needs.

The lessons are straightforward and engaging, making it easy to dive into subjects without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you’re working with a kindergartener or a middle schooler, Under the Home has something for everyone. The literature selections are particularly wonderful, filled with classic stories that spark imagination and deeper thinking. And the history lessons? They’re story-based, which makes learning about the past feel like an adventure.

One of the things that really sets this site apart is the art and music sections. If you’ve been wanting to incorporate more of the arts into your homeschool but weren’t sure where to start, Under the Home makes it so simple. The art lessons walk you through famous works, helping your kids (and maybe even you!) develop an appreciation for great art. And the music section introduces children to classical composers in a way that’s both educational and fun.

Another big win for me is that everything is laid out in a way that’s easy to follow, even on those days when I’m running on fumes. You don’t need to spend hours planning; just open up the site and go. Plus, it’s all free, which is a huge blessing when you’re homeschooling on a budget.

If you’re looking to enrich your homeschool with a classical curriculum that’s both comprehensive and accessible, Under the Home is definitely worth checking out. It’s been a great addition to our homeschool routine, and I think you’ll find it just as valuable.

Free FULL Homeschool Curriculum: Ambleside Online!

If you’re looking for a full FREE online homeschooling curriculum you definitely should take a look at Ambleside Online. If you’ve homeschooled for any period of time you’ve probably heard of the Charlotte Mason method of homeschooling. The Charlotte Mason method is wonderful in that it uses lots and lots of real “living’ books along with certain other ideas, and makes for an excellent education.  There are tons of different curriculum out there that utilize the Charlotte Mason Method and Ambleside Online is one of them.

One of the best benefits to choosing Ambleside Online as your main curriculum is the fact that it’s FREE! Ambleside online uses only free and available online resources.  You’ll find some wonderful things to help with your Charlotte Mason Homeschool such as booklists, schedules, and recommendations as well as a forum to discuss it with others.

The Benefits of Ambleside Online:

  1. Living Books Galore: Instead of dry textbooks, Ambleside Online introduces you to living books—books that are beautifully written and packed with knowledge that sticks with your kids.
  2. A Rich and Well-Rounded Curriculum: Ambleside Online doesn’t just tick off the academic boxes. It nurtures the whole child. With poetry, nature studies, artist studies, and music appreciation, your children get a holistic education that goes beyond just math and reading.

  4. Community Support: One of the best parts about Ambleside Online is the community. The website has forums where you can connect with other moms, ask questions, share successes, and get advice when you hit a bump in the road. Homeschooling can sometimes feel like an isolated journey, but having a community makes all the difference.

Whether you use this aspect of the curriculum or not, the emphasis on virtue and good character is woven throughout, which is something I deeply appreciate as I guide my kids not just academically, but also in becoming godly people.
