I’m sure I don’t have to tell you what a great resource You Tube is for learning and supplementing lessons. While you certainly have to be careful with letting kids watch YouTube, there are so many choices for learning there. One day I was looking for a teaching video to help explain Direct Objects to my son, and I came across this channel by Mr. Hoth.
The actual video and sound quality isn’t the best, but the content is great. He does a great job explaining grammar concepts including diagramming sentences. This channel is best for probably 6th grade and up. Watch this video as an example which shows whether a participle is a verb or an adjective:
