See the Full list of Homeschooling Requirements by State [1]

Below is a quick reference guide on the homeschooling requirements for the state of New York. For more information on the legal requirements visit the HSLDA New York [2] page.

There are five requirements (none of these are quick steps) that must be followed in order to ensure compliance with the homeschool laws of New York per the HSLDA:

1. Submit a notice of intent.
2. Submit an Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP).
3. Comply with day, hour, and subject requirements.
4. File quarterly reports.
5. Assess your child annually.

It is VERY important that you visit the HSLDA New York [2] page for the details of complying with each of these requirements.
